Stonington Spooktacular Saturday

Stonington Spooktacular 2018

On Saturday, Oct. 27, the town of Stonington will celebrate its fourth annual Stonington Spooktacular, with events scheduled for the whole family.

The day begins at 9:00am at the Island Community Center (ICC) with pumpkin carving, stories, crafts, and a haunted house. The Trick or Treat Parade begins at 10am. The parade route will run from the ICC to West Main St. to Pink Street through downtown Stonington, where local businesses will hand out candy.

At 10:30am, the festivities head over to the Opera House. OHA will host various family-friendly Halloween activities, including theatre games, arts and crafts, and a kids’ costume show onstage. At 11am, OHA will show a free screening of Disney/Pixar’s 21-minute Halloween film Toy Story of Terror, which is rated G and features the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack reprising their roles from the Toy Story series.

This event is created in partnership with the Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce, Healthy Island Project, Island Recreation Board, Reach Performing Arts Center, Stonington Public Library, The Town of Stonington, Deer Isle-Stonington After School Program, Island Community Center, Opera House Arts, and several downtown Stonington businesses.
