The Deer Isle Artists Association will hold its third annual pop-up market at its gallery on Saturday, December 1, from 10 am to 5 pm, selling holiday items such as felt and knitted hats, mittens, pottery, calendars, baskets, cards, jewelry, children’s items and small prints, paintings and sculpture.
“This is a different kind of a show for us, because many of our artists are trying something new and pricing them as affordable gifts,” said Cynthia Bourque-Simonds, DIAA board member.
The DIAA artists themselves will set up the market. They will include Peter Beerits, Rory Beerits, Cynthia Bourque-Simonds, Pauline Boyce, Tracy Van Buskirk, Peggy deWolf, Mary Eaton, Judith Felch, Susan Finsen, Jill Finsen, Alan Flowers, Francoise Gervais, Leslie Goode, Cathy Hart, Leslie Miller Landrigan, Diane Maguire Horton, David McBeth, Rebecca McCall, Julia McDonald, Carolyn Raedle, Scott Thurston, Paul Trowbridge and Pat White.
Free apple cider and homemade goodies will be available, and DIAA’s used art books will also be for sale.
Around the corner, shoppers can get warm by the fire and take in the fresh greens, antiques and curiosities, including a vintage Santa Claus, at Ronald Harte Antiques.
The Deer Isle Artists Association is located at 15 Main St. in Deer Isle. Ronald Harte Antiques is around the corner at 12 N. Deer Isle Rd.
